The Test will consist of two papers. All the two papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held Between 02nd December 2019 (Monday) and 06 December 2019 (Friday) in two separate sessions as under :

I 100 50 questions all are compulsory The questions in Paper I intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
 
03 hours (180 minutes) without any break
II 200 100 questions all are compulsory This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and  will  assess  domain knowledge

 

  • For each correct response the candidate will get 2 marks.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect response.
  • No marks will be given for questions Unanswered/Marked for Review.
  • If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous during the key challenge, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answer would be given the credit.
  • Only for dropped question(s), if any, marks will be given to all the candidates.

Paper-I is of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.  It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

50 multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given (All are compulsory ) . 

Five questions each carrying 2 marks are to be set from each Module.

Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions. Each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
There are no negative marks for incorrect answers.



Paper-II is based on the subject selected by the candidate. 

NTA will conduct NET 2019 in online mode, so it is necessary for the candidate to understand the exam environment. It is important that the candidate should be familiar with the computer-based test. For this candidate can take lots of mock tests.
Students should try to understand the process of online test which will be beneficial for them on the day of the exam. And it will be useful in the practice or revision of the examination.
